Written on 01/12/2026

Ingredients:

Frozen pierogies (usually filled with mashed potatoes and cheese)

3 cups chicken broth, plus extra as needed

Kielbasa sausage, sliced

Shredded cheddar cheese

Cream cheese

Instructions:

Prepare the Slow Cooker:
Pour 3 cups of chicken broth into the bottom of the crock pot.

Layer the Ingredients:

Place a layer of frozen pierogies over the broth.

Add a layer of sliced kielbasa.

Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

Continue layering until all ingredients are used or the crock pot is full.

Cook:
Cover and cook on high for about 3 hours or on low for roughly 6 hours.
Cooking times may vary, so check to ensure the pierogies are heated through and the flavors have come together.

Make It Creamy (30 minutes before serving):
In a small saucepan, gently heat cream cheese with the remaining chicken broth, adding just enough to reach your preferred sauce consistency. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Pour the sauce evenly over the casserole in the crock pot.

Finish & Serve:
Sprinkle a little extra cheddar cheese on top and allow it to melt for about 30 minutes.
Serve warm straight from the crock pot and enjoy this comforting, cheesy favorite—perfect for chilly days.
