Ingredients:
Chicken breasts (as many as you need)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Garlic powder (to taste)
Italian seasoning (to taste)
Provolone cheese (2 slices per chicken breast)
For the Topping:
½ cup Duke's mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Pat them dry with a paper towel.
Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
Add the Cheese:
Top each chicken breast with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
Make the Creamy Topping:
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese.
Stir until smooth. It might not look gourmet at this stage—but trust the process!
Assemble the Dish:
Spoon the topping mixture over the provolone-covered chicken breasts, spreading it evenly.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
The topping should be golden brown and bubbly when done.
Serve:
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to lock in the juices.
Serve hot and enjoy your creamy, cheesy, savory Provolone Chicken—great for weeknights or special gatherings.
