Spicy Mediterranean Lamb Meatballs

Ingredients:

1 pound ground lamb (ground beef or chicken may be substituted)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1–3 tablespoons harissa, adjusted to taste

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon ground turmeric

⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Olive oil, for browning

Instructions:

In a large bowl, add the ground lamb, parsley, cilantro, garlic, harissa, coriander, cumin, ginger, salt, paprika, turmeric, and cinnamon.

Gently mix until everything is just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Cook the meatballs in batches, turning as needed, until browned on the outside and fully cooked through.

Serve warm with couscous or lentils and fresh vegetables like sliced cucumbers for a balanced, satisfying meal.
