Ingredients:
20 Oreo cookies (2 rows of 10 cookies each)
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
8 ounces Cool Whip
1 box chocolate cake mix (or red velvet cake mix, if preferred)
3/4 cup butter, cut into 1-tablespoon slices
Ice cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Arrange 20 Oreo cookies in the dish in two rows of 10 (aligned across the length of the pan).
Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cookies.
Spread the Cool Whip evenly on top of the milk layer.
Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the Cool Whip. Use a fork to break up any lumps.
Place the butter slices evenly across the top, covering as much of the cake mix as possible. Do not mix.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350°F.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Serve warm, ideally with ice cream.
Tips:
Don’t overmix—this dessert’s charm lies in its layers.
Use good-quality (name brand) Oreos for the best flavor.
Feel free to experiment with different cake mixes, such as red velvet, if desire
