Ingredients:
1 large bag frozen chicken wings, thawed
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 large container pineapple juice
4 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
A drizzle of honey
1 tablespoon paprika
Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Additional salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Prep the Wings:
Thaw the chicken wings completely, then season generously with salt and pepper.
Simmer in Pineapple Juice:
Place the wings in a large pot or wok. Pour the pineapple juice over them until they are mostly submerged.
Bring to a gentle simmer and cook uncovered until the liquid has reduced and nearly cooked away.
Add Seasoning and Sauce:
Once the pineapple juice has mostly reduced, stir in:
4 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
A drizzle of honey
1 tablespoon paprika
Red pepper flakes, if you like a little heat
Finish Cooking:
Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and fully coats the wings. Taste and adjust with more salt and pepper as needed. Cook until the wings are well glazed and starting to fall off the bone.
Optional – Boost the Flavor:
For even more flavor, refrigerate the cooked wings overnight.
When ready to serve, transfer them to a baking dish and finish in the oven until heated through and the glaze is sticky.
Serve:
Dig in and enjoy these tender, pineapple-glazed wings!
